IPL Photofacial

EVEN OUT YOUR SKIN TONE WITH IPL

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) uses gentle pulses of broad-spectrum light to fade sun spots, calm redness, and reveal a clearer, more even complexion with little to no downtime.

Questions & Answers

IPL Photofacial

1. WHAT DOES IPL DO?

IPL delivers pulses of light that are absorbed by pigment and small blood vessels in the skin. The treated brown spots gradually darken and flake away, and visible redness and broken capillaries fade, leaving skin looking brighter and more uniform. IPL is commonly used on the face, neck, chest, and hands.

2. IS IPL FOR ME?

Reduces sun spots, age spots, and freckling from sun damage

Helps diminish facial redness, flushing, and broken capillaries

Improves overall skin tone and clarity

Quick treatments with little to no downtime. Best suited to lighter skin types; your provider will confirm if IPL is right for you

3. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

IPL is a quick, comfortable in-office treatment. Most people see the best results with a series of treatments spaced about four weeks apart.

Before Treatment:
Your provider will review your skin and goals, cleanse the treatment area, and provide protective eyewear. Avoid tanning and significant sun exposure in the weeks before your treatment.

During Treatment
A cool gel is applied and the IPL handpiece is passed over the skin, delivering brief pulses of light. Many people describe the sensation as a light snap, similar to a rubber band.

A typical IPL session takes about 20 to 30 minutes depending on the size of the area treated, making it easy to fit into a lunch break. Speak with your provider for an estimate so you can plan your visit.

After Treatment
‍
Mild redness and warmth are common for a few hours. Treated brown spots may look darker for about one to two weeks before they flake off. Daily sunscreen is essential to protect your results.

Many patients notice a more even, brighter complexion after the first treatment, with further improvement over a series. Periodic maintenance sessions can help keep results looking their best.
